Meet us!

We are a teaching team dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe to learn, grow and be themselves.
Emma

Emma received a full scholarship from the Maine Association for the Education of Young Children to continue her education in the field of Early Childhood Education at Southern Maine Community College. She has completed the 30 hour Maine Early Learning and Developmental Standards Training and attended the Statewide Conference for Early Education in 2022.
Emma has worked at Your Little Artist for 5 years starting as an after school aide and progressing to a full-time teacher. She has been central to the sustainability of our program and supports YLA's child centered philosophy.
Emma's gentle and predictable nature encourages children to feel content and settle into a routine. She is kind, empathetic and helps create an environment that meets young children's social and emotional needs.

A fierce defender of "play based" early education she has conducted research on the benefits of "Risky Play".
Stacie is adventurous and silly, frequently changing the environment and adding new materials to follow children's interests. With a deep love for children's literature she has a large library and tells engaging stories.
